Monroe High School Baseball Team Captures Southwestern Buckeye League Championship

The team showcased their consistency as well as their resilience and skill throughout the season, especially when faced with high-pressure situations against tough competition. Congratulations to all of the players and coaches on an outstanding accomplishment!

The Monroe High School baseball team has made history once again, capturing a share of the Southwestern Buckeye League (SWBL) Southwestern Division championship with an impressive 6-2 league record. This victory marks the program's 14th league championship in school history and their first since 2016, solidifying their place as one of the league's elite programs.

With a strong, cohesive lineup and standout performances from both experienced upperclassman and newcomers, the Hornets proved they had the talent, determination, and heart to assert themselves at the top of the competitive Southwestern Buckeye League.

The Hornets will open up OHSAA Tournament play on Wednesday, May 21 at home vs. Talawanda at 5:00pm.
