Dr. Lubitz earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from The Ohio State University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine. He further honed his expertise through an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA.
Dr. Lubitz most recently completed an Orthopaedic Fellowship in Sports Medicine with a focus on shoulder reconstruction at The University of Arizona, College of Medicine-Phoenix. While in Arizona, he helped provide care for the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Dr. Lubitz has conducted and published numerous research studies and has spoken at national sports medicine meetings.
His commitment to sports medicine extends beyond his clinical practice; he actively supports local athletic communities by providing medical care to high school sports teams, helping athletes recover quickly and return to peak performance.
Returning to Cincinnati to join Beacon in the Liberty and Miamisburg locations was an easy decision for Dr. Lubitz. He’s excited to be back in his hometown, close to family, and eager to share the city he loves with his wife and two children. In his free time, Dr. Lubitz enjoys hiking, running, and cheering on Ohio State, Reds and Bengals.
